Dog Nursing Cat

I have a problem I could use some help with. The mother of the cat below dissappeared a few months ago. We don't know what happened to he, but we suspect coyotes got her. We live in a rural area in central Texas, and they nab small cats, and dogs upon occasion. My problem is since the mother cat dissappeared my lab has taken up nursing the cat. It was not a problem at first, but now I want to breed my lab, and she will not go inot to her heat cycle while nursing this cat. The cat is 7 months old now, and she does not need to be nursing. Both are outside pets, and neither will stay inside. Help!
